The founder & Secretary of the good shepherd social service society is Mr. C.H. Devarathnam. He is from poor family and he is third child to his parents among 8 children. He is studied in the Christian missions school during his studies suffered a lot due to many problems because of poverty and in the college studies also. During this period he found many people are residing in the road side under the trees and while traveling to other areas also be found many children are not going to school due to lack of facilities and neglected by the druken parents. So, he started a society to do social activities for the poor and orphan children and to bring awareness among the women who are suffering in the society and in the house because they are neglected by the society. The society started in the year 26th February 1997 beginning. Register No 44/97.

      In Andhra Pradesh many people are dying due to lack of minimum medical facilities and food in their remote villages.If they want to go medical treatment they have to travel many Km., by walk because there are no transport facilities. That’s why the society is planning to start schools,hostels, hospitals in the villages and mobile medical camps.
